Maizy

Maizy is a 1-year-old 4.5 pound Biewer Yorkie who was rescued from a commercial breeder the beginning of November, so she has a Fall/Thanksgiving themed name. Maizy is a very mellow gal who loves taking walks, laying on her dog bed and hanging out on the sofa. She also loves her toys and likes to get them all out of the toy basket and leave them all over the floor! Maizy is still learning to trust that she is loved & safe, so she is looking for a special family who will be patient and give her the time that she needs. She has come a long way during her time with her foster family. She wags her tail, loves going for walks (she walks beautifully on the leash) She has the softest & most beautiful black coat, perfect for lots of pets. She even has a kissing spot on her head, so you know exactly where to give her kisses! Her new family will need to make sure she gets regular grooming. Maizy does well in a crate, although she doesn't need it anymore as she just loves laying on her bed. She rides well in the car. Maizy gets along with her foster sister, a Golden Retriever and ignores the cats. Because Maizy gets nervous with too much excitement, no younger kids for her. She would love to have a fenced in yard to play in and a dog sibling to help her continue her journey of becoming her best self. She is a wonderful house guest! Maizy is potty trained, although we say that regression is common in new situations. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots.
